May Day

Happy May Day!

The first day of May.

In medieval England the chief feature of the celebration of May Day was the Maypole. This was decorated with flowers and streamers, and the loose ends of which were held by dancers, who encircled the pole, weaving intricate patterns as they passed each other in the dance......how fun would that be!!!

Big pastel billowing tulle tutus, and floral wreaths in your hair. You can almost feel the breeze on your face as you dance about, with pretty ribbons falling softly down your back.

I hope somewhere out there today, girls are doing just this.....Happy May Day!
